Powder Coatings

Powder coating is the process of coating in which the powder is electro statically applied on the outer layers and heat produced in the process will keep the powder on outer layer. It does not require any material that makes it attach on the layer. Rather the heat itself allows forming a coating on the materials. This powder has the property of thermoplastic and thermo set polymer. Some powder coating is done for metal coating and usually the car and motorcycle vehicles are powder coated. Powder coating is the most reliable source of coating than the liquid coating.

Powder Coating Process

The process of powder coating is very simple. Simply the machine applies the powder by compressed air at a pressure of 20-30 psi. The air pushes the powder from the machine, which is simply a gun machine. Usually the powder coating equipment is a gun holding electrodes in it that make the powder positive charge. This positive charge helps in pasting the powder on the layer of the metal. You can easily learn powder coating once you know how to use the gun.
