Data Acquisition

Data acquisition is the process in which different data from different sources and signals are acquired and saved in the computer. This requires different waves or signals which use to hold different information, which is then transferred to the computer by using different types of transistors that use to convert these signals into different information. Different sensors are used which sensor all the waves and signals and convert them into different information. The data is then acquired, analyzed, displayed and then stored in the computer in different computer languages which is then only be used by computer science professional.

Data acquisition systems require physical property of an object. This may be the temperature and change in temperature, pressure or force of an object, intensity of light or change in the intensity of light. These three physical qualities must be present in order to have an effective data acquisition. Transducer is a device that helps in converting these physical changes into other properties. This transducer uses different signals to convert different information. These signals are either analog or digital.
