Laser cutting is the type of cutting metal with the help of laser beam. Laser beam either melts or burns the metal or vaporizes or blow the metal. There are two types of laser cutting technologies.

Laser Cutting Process
Laser cut the metal through the axis of beam when passes from the side of the sheet. Its working is similar to the milling machine. Usually piercing method is used in which a small hole is done on the material. It is a simple process and no manual work is needed.

Laser cutting machines are divided based on the axis of their motion within X-axis and Y-axis. Machines are divided not on their process but on the way or axis, they choose to cut the material. According to this, there are three types of machines and they are described as:
Moving material laser machines use to move the material. It requires the manual movement of the material but has less optics. The laser beam remains at a single point and did not move around.
Hybrid laser machines move towards X-axis. Where as it head did not remains at one point and moves to Y-axis. This thus provides long cutting of material in one path. They provide more productivity level and it is also not very costly.
Flying optic machines have two parts a table and a head. The both part moves in X-axis. Material clamping did not take place in this machine. Different materials in different sizes are cut down with this machine. It is the fastest type of machine and provides the work within few hours.
