ISO Certifications
ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization that is an organization founded in 1946, situated in Geneva, Switzerland. The ISO certification is must in order to meet the international challenges. This is mandate in order to promote the international standard in export and import. Almost 90 countries are member of ISO. The technical team of ISO developed number of international standards for quality in an organization. These standards were first published in 1987. ISO certificate is given to those countries that meet the given standard and are audited. If it is found that the organization is meeting those standards then the organization is registered in ISO and ISO certificate is given to the organization. There are series of ISO. Few of them is given as:
ISO 9000 Certification: it is generic in scope. It is applied to construction, engineering, healthcare, legal, professional services and manufacturing of spacecraft spare parts. The purpose of ISO 9000 is to unify the quality among different organization and to enhance quality at each step of process that occurs under supplier supervision. ISO 9000 series have three standards given as:
1. ISO 9000: 2000 Certification: it discusses the fundamental concepts related to Quality management system and provides different terminologies that are thus used in other two standards.
2. ISO 9001: 2000 Certification: it informs the standard use of the registration by demonstrating different systems to customers, regulatory and to their own employee
3. ISO 9004: 2000 Certification: it informs different guidelines of improvement in performance and these guidelines are provided to organization in order to achieve the quality excellence in products and services.
ISO 9001 Certification: this certification holds eight main clauses and these are
Scope: this clause shows the ability of an organization to produce the goods that meet customer and ISO satisfaction.
Normative References: this shows the organization concepts and definitions.
Terms And Definitions: this clause shows the terms and definitions between supplier, organization and customer.
Quality Management Systems: this clause shows that how the organization is working and managing its process, in order to gain total quality to provide goods beyond customer expectations.
Management Responsibility: top management has to provide evidence of their commitment to the organizations in order to show their responsibility towards organization.
Resource Management: the organization has to determine and maintain its resources in order to achieve maximum productivity from them.
Product Realization: In this clause, the organization has to determine and develop such process in order to achieve product realization.
Measurement, Analysis, And Improvement: in this clause the organization has to show the systems that measure and analysis their processes and how they are achieving maximum quality.
Above two were the standards for quality management systems while next discussion will show the standards that must be used in order to achieve environmental management systems.
ISO 14000 Certification: it is divided into two areas, organization evaluation standards and product evaluation standards. Organizational evaluation standards determine organizational environment in management system, hold environmental auditing within organization and organizational environmental performance evaluation. On the other hand, product evaluation standards hold all the information about the product influence on the environment and product life cycle assessment.
ISO 14001 Certification: this provides organization with different elements to show how to manage the environment, which is also known as Environmental Management system.
ISO 27001 Certification: this certification is given to those organizations that fulfill all the standards of information security management system. It has three-stage audit process.
ISO 13485 Certification: this certification is for total quality management and mostly used by medical companies for different medical instruments used in hospitals.
Intertech ISO Certification: the ISO certification for all intertech companies control quality in all intertech services and products thus making these companies more reliable.
